Doctrinal Affirmations

At Crossroads Rodeo Company, we believe that the way to know God is through His revealed Word: The Bible. We carefully teach, explain, and apply the Bible as it speaks with authority and clarity on all of the crucial issues of life. Of course, the very centerpiece of the Bible is the good news of Jesus Christ:

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life." John 3:16

  • We believe that the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired by God, inerrant in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the divine and only rule for faith and practice (2 Tim. 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21; Psalm 19:7-11).

  • We believe in one God, creator and sustainer of all things, infinitely perfect and existing in three coequal and coetemal persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Deut. 6:4; 1 Tim. 2:5; Gen. 1; Col. 1: l6-l7; Exodus 3:14; Matt. 28:18-20; 2 Cor. 13:14).

  • We believe that the person of Jesus Christ is both true God and true man. He died a sacrificial and substitutionary death on the cross for the penalty of sin and rose bodily from the dead, and He will one day return personally and bodily to the earth to judge the ungodly and establish His kingdom (John 1: 1; Col 2:9; Gal. 3:13; 1 Peter 2:24; Heb. 9:22-28; Luke 24:1-8; 1 Cor. 15:3-7; Matt. 24:30- 3l; Rev. 19: l l ff).

  • We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity sent to indwell, empower, sanctify and give gifts to the believer, and convict the world of sin (Matt 3;16; John 14:16-17; Eph. 1:11; 1 Peter 1:2; 1 Cor. 12: l1-13; John 16:7-1 l).

  • We believe all men are born with a sinful nature, separated from the life of God, and under His wrath because of sin and unbelief. Only through the regeneration by the Holy Spirit is salvation and spiritual life obtained (Rom. 5:12; Eph. 2:1-3; 4:17-19; Col. 1: l2; John 3:36; Rom. 1:18; John 3:3-5; Titus 3:5).

  • We believe that the redemptive work of Jesus Christ and His resurrection are the only grounds for justification. Salvation is a free gift of God's grace through faith alone in Christ alone. All who repent and believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are given eternal life, forgiven of all sins, and become children of God (John 14:6; Acts 4:12; l Tim. 2:5; Rom. 3:24; 6:23; 2 Cor. 5:21; Eph. 2:8-9; John 1:12-13; 3:16, 36; Acts 2:38; 16:31).

  • We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead; of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord, of the unbeliever to everlasting judgment and conscious punishment (1 Cor. 15; Dan. 12:2; John 5:28-29; Matt. 25:31-46; 2 Thess. 1:8-9; Rev. 20: l1- 15).
